Tampa, Fla. (December 20, 2022) – The Plasencia Group, a boutique hospitality real estate advisory firm, received the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Top Hospitality Project award at its annual Best Real Estate Deals event on December 15 at Armature Works in Tampa.
“The Plasencia Group is grateful to be recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as the top hospitality firm on the west coast of Florida,” said Chief Executive Officer Lou Plasencia. “Our team is genuinely focused on providing best-in-class service to our long-standing clients. We are blessed with a truly dedicated and collaborative team in our Florida office. It’s been exciting to work on a number of projects in our corporate headquarters backyard, which happens to be one of the nation’s hottest hospitality markets. We couldn’t be prouder of the entire team of passionately committed professionals in Tampa for this recognition.”
The honorees, Chris Plasencia and Nick Plasencia, along with the firm’s support team in Tampa, were recognized for their efforts in the disposition and financing of nine hotels and resorts in the Tampa Bay region, encompassing nearly 1,700 keys, from the summer of 2021 through the summer of 2022. The combined transactions exceeded $500 million of hotel and resort investments in the Tampa Bay hospitality market, largely from out-of-market investors. Completed transactions included Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, the Aloft and Element in Tampa’s new Midtown development, the Dolphin Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, the Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites on Clearwater Beach, and the Westin Tampa Waterside on Harbour Island.
The Plasencia Group’s dedicated team provides expertise in lodging investment services, capital markets, owner representation, and renovation and development management. The firm serves clients with offices in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the nation.
