Tampa, Florida (January 4, 2024) – The Plasencia Group, a national boutique hospitality real estate advisory firm, has been recognized for the second consecutive year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and their “2023 Best Real Estate Deals” awards. The firm again won the Top Hospitality Project, this time for the sale of the DoubleTree Beach Resort on North Redington Beach. The award was highlighted at the publication’s annual Best Real Estate Deals event, which took place on December 13.
The Plasencia Group’s Managing Directors Chris Plasencia and Nick Plasencia, along with the firm’s support team in Tampa, were recognized for their efforts in the disposition of the popular 125-room, full-service beachfront hotel in Pinellas County. The team completed the transaction between the seller, a local investment group that had owned the property since its opening in 1987, and the buyer, a South Carolina-based ownership group.
Nick Plasencia, Managing Director with The Plasencia Group, commented, “Our client owned and operated the DoubleTree since the day it opened more than three decades ago, and we are deeply honored to have been given their trust in representing them. The DoubleTree’s irreplaceable station in the local community remains in great hands.”
“This was a team effort that resulted in a true win-win for both our client as well as the purchaser. To once again be recognized for our accomplishments is most humbling.” said Chief Executive Officer Lou Plasencia.
