As one of the hottest new restaurants in New Orleans, tables at Paladar 511 are in high demand these days. The restaurant is located in the Marigny district which was no-man’s land only a few years ago. Now the area has become the go-to place, especially for locals, as the city’s best-known musicians and chefs have begun to relocate there.

What To Order

When you’re ready for a great meal, start with the fried short rib ragu arancini which is about the size of a baseball, sitting atop a delicious lemon butter sauce and covered with grated parm. Be sure to share since eating the whole thing may spoil your dinner. For entrées, we recommend the Braised Chicken or the Pork Saltimbocca. Both are savory in their respective sauces and accompaniments. Prices for wines are very reasonable and the list includes excellent choices from Italy, France and California.
