Tampa, Fla. (August 6, 2018) – The Plasencia Group, a leading, privately-owned hospitality investment advisory firm, is pleased to announce the sale of the Homewood Suites Bonita Springs and Hampton Inn Bonita Springs Naples North in Southwest Florida, together comprising 198 rooms. The firm represented Wheelock Street Capital, a real estate investment firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut, in the sale of the portfolio. GDC Properties, a Hawthorne, New York-based real estate investment firm acquired the hotels. The Plasencia Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Lou Plasencia, and Vice Presidents Nick Plasencia and Chris Plasencia advised the seller in this disposition.
“Southwest Florida continues to attract record numbers of visitors annually,” commented Nick Plasencia. “These hotels are ideally positioned to capture the continued growth in international and domestic leisure travel for the foreseeable future.”
“Our client was a strong steward of the hotels, and fully renovated the properties recently,” added Chris Plasencia. “We anticipate that new ownership will enjoy the continued success of the hotels’ performance.”
The Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites are located within two miles of each other on U.S. Highway 41 and are proximate to award-winning Gulf beaches, iconic golf courses, Hertz’s international headquarters, Southwest Florida International Airport, and the affluent coastal communities of Naples and Fort Myers.
