The Plasencia Group has advised on the sale of the TownePlace Suites Tampa Westshore / Airport hotel, located in Avion Park at the entrance to Tampa’s Westshore Business District.
Tampa, Fla. (January 10, 2024) –The Plasencia Group, a national boutique hospitality real estate advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it has represented the seller in the sale of the TownePlace Suites Tampa Westshore/Airport. The 121-key hotel is the only Marriott-branded property in the Avion Park mixed-use development, at the entrance to the Westshore Business District from Tampa International Airport. The transaction was guided by a team of The Plasencia Group’s professionals, including Senior Managing Director Dexter Wood; Managing Directors Chris Plasencia, Nick Plasencia, and John Plasencia; and Vice President Andrew Pappas.
Located in the Avion Park development, the TownePlace is the closest extended-stay hotel property to Tampa International Airport and is proximate to the best of Tampa’s Westshore Business District’s demand generators, including the International Plaza & Bay Street retail district, Raymond James Stadium (home of the Buccaneers), and Steinbrenner Field (Spring home of the New York Yankees). Tampa International Airport is in the late stages of a multibillion-dollar renovation and expansion, set to culminate with the imminent construction of the 16-gate Airside D terminal.
