Havana is a casual, yet elegant establishment located on the southern end of the very scenic Town of Bar Harbor. The atmosphere is lively and the fare, though limited is excellent. The restaurant can easily be walked to from just about anywhere in Bar Harbor. The staff is very professional and the owner takes the time to ensure that his patrons are completely satisfied. Havana is one of the few eateries that is open year-round in the coastal Maine town. Most of the ingredients are locally grown or harvested with a few exceptions.

What To Order

The Paella is different from any I’ve had previously and is topped with a charred, tasty layer of rice from the bottom of the pan. Portions are ample. While you’re there, order the Proveleta appetizer with the Andouille sausage and a nice red to wash it down. Havana has a fine selection of wines from which to choose.

Additional Tips

The wait for a table is often lengthy, so call for reservations and plan on making an entire evening in this delightful establishment.

While in Bar Harbor, make sure to spend some time in Acadia National Park, one of the most scenic places in the US!
