Tampa, Florida (May 5, 2026) – The Plasencia Group, a national boutique hospitality real estate advisory firm, is pleased to announce it has facilitated the sale of the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Weston on behalf of the seller. The Plasencia Group’s transaction team was led by Tampa-based Managing Directors Nick Plasencia, Chris Plasencia and John Plasencia, and Palm Beach-based Senior Managing Director Dexter Wood.
The 176-key Courtyard, which opened in 2002 and recently underwent a comprehensive renovation, is situated in one of Florida’s most sought-after submarkets. The hotel benefits from a diverse demand base emanating from the nearby Cleveland Clinic hospital campus, corporate anchors, and leisure transient visitors.
“Florida remains at the top of every investor’s target list today. Weston is such a unique pocket of South Florida with an affluent corporate base of business and world-class medical and leisure draws,” commented Nick Plasencia, Managing Director.
Managing Director Chris Plasencia added, “The Courtyard is a best-in-class hotel fresh off its comprehensive renovation. We’re excited to follow the next chapter under new ownership.”
The transaction continues The Plasencia Group’s history of successful engagements in the State of Florida, and the broader Southeastern United States. Over the past thirty years, the firm has completed hundreds of transactions in the Sunshine State, including many record-setting deals.
